The Barossa Marathon Festival is held every year starting in the scenic vineyard-surrounded Tanunda. The event attracts runners from right across the world, wanting to challenge their fitness levels in the marathon (42.2km), half marathon (21.1km), 10km and 5km events. The course is very flat, perfect for those wanting a quick time or ‘personal best’.
The Festival is also Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) certified, meaning the event can be used to get a qualifying time for other international AIMS events, including Boston Marathon.
Feel the landscape. Meet the people. Experience the Barossa.

Would you like to run the Barossa Marathon Festival for free? Can you maintain a consistent pace for a half marathon? Are you willing to motivate others throughout the run to achieve their running goal?
We are currently seeking interest from members who would like to pace at the Barossa Marathon Festival on the 19th August 2018. Ideally you have some experience as a pacer before, however, as long as you have had experience running the requested distance a number of times in the past we will consider you.
If this describes you & you are interested in being one of the pacers at the Barossa Marathon Festival, please contact [email protected] expressing which event you would like to be considered for and the time that you can run this event in comfortably (ideally should be at least 10mins slower than the most recent time you ran this distance). If you were not planning on running in Barossa, we are also seeking interest for Pacers for our other events throughout the year.
