The Chateau Tanunda Barossa Marathon Festival is held every year starting in the scenic vineyard-surrounded Tanunda. The event attracts runners from right across the world, wanting to challenge their fitness levels in the marathon (42.2km), half marathon (21.1km), 10km and 5km events. The course is very flat, perfect for those wanting a quick time or ‘personal best’.

The Festival is also Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) certified, meaning the event can be used to get a qualifying time for other international AIMS events, including Boston Marathon.

Feel the landscape. Meet the people. Experience the Barossa.

 Race Day Village

Access to our normal venue is unavailable for 2022 so the new race village will be situated at The Rex, Barossa Aquatic Centre on Magnolia Rd. The start, 42.2km turn and Finish will all be on Magnolia Rd in front of the Aquatic Centre. We will have full use of the centre's toilet and shower facilities as well as one of their basketball courts for Bib Collection, Merchandise sales and Bag Drop. Their canteen will be suppling hot and cold beverages and light meals. Site map to follow soon.

Race Day Parking:

Access to the Rex parking area on race morning is from Magnolia Rd west only. Access from the east will be closed at Research Rd so parking will be available along this section in front of Faith Lutheran College. There will be no parking on college grounds. Additional parking is also available across from the Rex Car Park. Suggested route to avoid road closures can be found HERE
